This is a step by step guide with pictures on how to set up domain registration through Zuver, a cheap Australian domain registration and web hosting company. This page is a work in progress so I will add to it when I have more time. If you want to know how to set up domain and web hosting through other popular web hosting sites, I have step by step guides with pictures here for Bluehost and here for Siteground. Refer to the Essential Tips for Choosing your Domain Name which includes a checklist on things to look out for when creating a domain name.
Please note that this page has some affiliate links. This means I get a referral fee when you click on it.
Go to Zuver‘s site by clicking here and click on “Domain” on the top left hand corner
Enter the domain you want to register and click the search icon or press the Enter key on the keyboard
If your domain is unavailable, decide whether the suggestions they have given you are what you want. Click “Add to Cart” or type in another of your domains.
If your domain is available, click on “Add to Cart” to register the domain. Add any additional domains in the suggestions by clicking on “Add to Cart”. “Add to Cart” will now change to “Checkout”. Click on “Checkout”.
Add hosting by the same company is highly recommended as it is more convenient to manage. Click on “[No Hosting! Click to Add]” (highlighted in yellow below).
Choose a plan and click “Order Now”.
It’ll ask you to choose a domain. Since you started with researching a domain, you can just click on “Use” to use the one in your cart.
On the Configure page, click “Continue” to go to checkout.
It’ll return to the “Domains Configuration” page and the hosting status will now change to “[Has hosting]”. Click “Continue”.
Enter any promo codes (Z50 for 50% off or ZUVERRACING for 90% off hosting) and click “Checkout”.
Fill in your personal details, billing details and payment details. Check to confirm you have read the Terms of Service and click “Complete order”.And that’s done!
